WOMEN IN SUITS

Unfortunately you don’t see this enough:

A woman in a well-fitted suit is a treat. Women have a natural luxury of playing gender bender and making it look good. They can take something like the suit, which is historically identified as masculine, and make it look as if it was historically feminine. Paired with a killer pair of heels, a woman can make this a chic and sophisticated lady look. Just as men appear more distinguished, elegant, and classy with a suit, a woman can look just the same. Check out the ladies below and how they successfully own the suit look.

Max Kibardin S/S 2010

I'm not sure where these shoes can be purchased and honestly this is my first time hearing of this designer. But these shoes in powder blue are amazing.

Shut down the Magazine presses!

If I were a magazine, book, or newspaper printer, Id definitely be concerned. The e-book reader has already got a huge following. It’s all about convenience and portability, how can you really argue that? So that being said, I’d like to introduce the Skiff Reader:

The Skiff Reader is the biggest e-book reader to date. Boosting an 11.5” screen and a .25” thickness. Full newspapers will be viewable, as well as magazines and books. On top of that its fully touch screen, wi-fi enabled and sprint will offer a wireless service, which will allow you to download books, newspaper and magazines on the goal. In my opinion the only better feature that makes it appealing more then my current Sony Reader is its touch screen function. What I’m really waiting for is the speculated Apple Touch Screen Tablet, and based on Apples track record, it will be a sleek looking device. It is rumored that the Apple Touch Screen Tablet will be geared toward content delivery, which means it will possibly function as an e-book reader, movie player, music player, and web browser. In any case these new gadgets will eventually make the printer and his press obsolete.

All men should own the suit: Literally and Figuratively

The Suit played a part in my transition into manhood. As a youngster, I disliked them. I felt uncomfortable wearing them. If you gave me a well fitted pair of jeans and shirt, I thought I was on top of the world. But as you mature your taste evolves, and you have a new found appreciation for things you used to dislike. There isn’t a man out there who puts on a well fitting suiting and doesn’t feel ontop of the world. Suits are to men what bags and shoes are to women. So with the dawn of a new decade, it is my personal belief that if you don’t already own a suit, this is the moment, the decade to experience such an empowering and authoritative uniform. Ideally 5-6 classic suits should be a staple in your overall wardrobe. Owning a suit literally is the easy part, owning a suit figuratively is we’re your personal taste should be manifested. Double breasted, single breasted, notched lapel, peek lapel, shawl collar, single vented, double vented, no vents, patch pockets, welt pockets, welt with flap pockets, or three piece. Specific combinations of these in certain fabrics will speak volumes of your character, so you must always be sure your execution of the suited look speaks of your character.

If you have a bohemian style don’t think for a minute you can’t pull of a suit. Just check out the guy below.

If you want an old school more classic look put on a double-breasted suit. Check out actor John Cho below. Notice how the suit makes his presence that much more distinguished.

IF you’re more of a color man, and think color best expresses your style and chracter then don’t be afraid to express yourself. Most men never allow themselves the pleasure of owning a suit in an exotic print, or color, don’t let other influence your decisions. Wear what you please just check out one of my favorite menswear designers Ozwald Boateng hanging out with his wife at a benefit dinner, sporting one of his own creations, an eye popping mustard sui. Below that, Spanish model Jon Kortajarena sports a vibrant true blue Tom Ford Suit, and below that a Surajo Bello pastel lilac suit jacket.

No matter what you end up choosing just make sure you execute your look exactly the way you want. That way you’ll be more confident thus adding the extra umph to your look. Check out quarterback Tom Brady.

Its 2010 time to SUIT UP FELLAS!
